Over the years, the company has released a few variations of its original app, such as Hipstamatic X and Hipstamatic Classic (one of the first apps to receive Apple‘s “App of the Year” award). Hipstamatic’s return has come at a time when more and more Instagram users are expressing frustration and weariness with the platform. Some of the most repeated criticisms are directed at Instagram’s attempt to imitate TikTok with Reels. The social network owned by Meta has become a hostile environment, especially for those who simply want to know the status of their friends, upload photos and little else.The numerous changes to Instagram in recent years made well-known figures such as Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner to publicly demonstrate for “Instagram to be Instagram again”. It's a sad moment, but in order to keep our focus on making amazing new products and features for the Hipstamatic community, we've decided that we can no longer support the Family Album service. What does this mean for all the photos I've uploaded? You can still access them by simply logging in to your Hipstaccount. They will remain there and you can download them to your computer, order prints, or remove them at any time. Login to your Hipstaccount See and download all your current prints What about all my awesome albums with my friend's photos? You can still access these albums from within the Hipstamatic app through the end of the summer. You can also email yourself links to a web page containing all the album photos from within Hipstamatic. From these album pages you can download any pictures you want to your computer. How to re-enable Family Album Step 1: Visit Settings on your iPhone and locate Hipstamatic Step 2: Scroll to the bottom and tap Advanced. Step 3: You can enable Family Album at the bottom of this screen. How to save an album Why are you discontinuing Family Album? I love it!
